Garrett John Law is an organist and choral conductor whose work is rooted in Anglican musical tradition, historical performance, and liturgical artistry. He currently serves as Director of Music at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Covina, California, where he leads a vibrant choral program and curates music for weekly liturgies and special services.
Garrett holds a Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance and Music Theory and a Master of Music in Organ Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied with Todd Wilson. He also trained at the Interlochen Arts Academy and earned a graduate certificate in Historical Performance, focusing on harpsichord, organ, and continuo playing.
His church music appointments have included positions at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Akron, Ohio; St. James Anglican Church in Cleveland; and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. While in Charlotte, Garrett also served as Assistant Director of the Charlotte Choir School.
Highlights of his work include choir residencies at Ely Cathedral (2014) and Durham Cathedral (2019). He has performed solo harpsichord repertoire with the baroque orchestra of Case Western Reserve University and has a special interest in historic organs and performance practice.
Garrett is also a composer of choral and organ music, including descants, hymn harmonizations, and liturgical settings.
